Our history

From an alliance to a growing movement

Established in 2022 with support from Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Nigeria, WAY4Nigeria brings together women- and youth-focused organisations working to strengthen political participation and democratic governance.

Our work has evolved to include artificial intelligence, information integrity, and democracy.

Why we do this work

A message from us

Every year, WAY4Nigeria hears from young people and women across the country who are ready to lead but need clearer pathways, practical AI and digital literacy skills, and a trusted network to help them navigate today's information environment.

This programme exists to build that bridge — equipping participants with the tools, mentorship and community they need to counter misinformation, engage confidently in civic life, and shape a more inclusive democracy.
